There is a time, and there is an end.
Hi everyone! Hope you are doing well. I apologise for not blogging in a while; life has been getting busy, which I never thought it would again! I send my love to you all.
Well, that's it over almost! Another educational and academic year finished, ready for the rite of passage of holidays, sun, or in my case, work (this to everyone apart from me is known as "summer"). I've had time to think (I know, be careful) about everything that has happened, and for once, I don't feel angry. As humans, we spend a lot of our time complaining about all sorts of things; money, love lives, people being tits, weather, another spam call about PPI. But do these things really dictate our hearts, our happiness, what we really want and need? Bare with me, I promise I'm not planning to turn into a modern day Socrates (I hope).
After a tough night, I felt like I was alone and worthless. But today, I got calls from my best friend and my parents asking if I was alright as soon as I woke up. I had coffee and spent time with my two dear friends while we talked about our problems. And my darling friend who lives in my building came with a care package asking if I was alright. Now this isn't meant to be boasting, and I apologise if it is. I guess it's more of a realisation, that there are so many good people and good things about our lives and what is happening around us. Of course, there are sadly horrible things happening over the world to so many people; it is terrible and we must think of them. But we must also think about what is right in front of us, the people, the loved ones who care for us and who we care for in return. Because otherwise, we will lose the reason why we are here.
Another idea, don't spend your precious time on people who take you for granted. Whether they do it intentionally or not, you don't deserve to be messed around by individuals - and the feelings they have on you - who have caused you pain. As tough as it seems, there are people who love you, and if you are looking for a special significant someone, they will come around the corner eventually. If not, chocolate always helps; no one will ever love me like Reece's Peanut Butter Cups do.
